Lior Tavori is the Artistic Director of Lior Tavori Dance Company, Israel, based in Tel Aviv. Lior holds a master’s degree in Dance from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He also serves as a lecturer in the Academy’s Choreography Program, and as a teacher and creator in the international dance program of the Vertigo Dance Company.
Lior has created works for dance companies in China, including Chongqing Ballet and the Guangzhou Opera House, as well as for Inbal Dance Theater in Israel, alongside works created for his own company. His works were presented as part of International Exposure in 2019 and 2020.
His works have received numerous awards in Israel and have been performed on many stages around the world, including in China, Italy, Spain, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Georgia, and Taiwan, among others. Most recently, he was invited to create a full-length work for Quorum Ballet in Lisbon, Portugal.
In 2022, his work The Eighth Day premiered at the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv, as part of the Tel Aviv Dance Festival 2022. He was also invited to create a new work for the Munich Ballet.
